Price of a visit to the doctor
Visits to the doctor don't have an exact singular price as the doctors determine their fees on their own. You can see each doctor's prices for consultations separately in their profile and in the online booking service by clicking the doctor's name.
The doctor usually uses the average time it takes to take care of the client at the reception and the related follow-up work, such as writing the patient report and going through the examination results, as the basis for the remuneration determined by the doctors. The fee for remote appointments (telephone and video appointments) is also based on the time the doctor spends treating the patient. Check out the instructions for remote reception.
Doctors usually charge for all calls as self-employed. The price is determined by the fee determined by the doctor himself and the polyclinic fee. Statements made at a doctor's visit, laboratory, X-ray and ultrasound examinations, possible vaccines and medicines and supplies are also charged separately.
In addition to the doctor's fee, a facility fee is charged for minor procedures performed at the reception, such as mole removal and joint injections, the price of which depends on the procedure. You can get an exact price estimate by inquiring at the office.
An outpatient clinic fee and a Kanta fee are added to reception visits (both physical and remote visits).

On Saturdays from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm, a 30 % surcharge is added to the normal fee for general and specialist doctor appointments. On Saturdays after 6.00 pm, Sundays, and public holidays, the surcharge can be up to 100 %. The doctor may also charge for telephone consultations.
Kela compensation
Kela reimburses part of the doctor's visit fee. To receive direct compensation, you must show your valid identity document (identity card, passport, or driver's license) at the reception.

The price list for Working Life Services includes the most common laboratory and imaging studies, fees for occupational health nurses and physicians, as well as occupational well-being and work ability services.
Billing principles for occupational health professional and specialist appointments
Before meeting with a private customer, the specialist reviews the previous medical history. During the appointment, the specialist interviews and examines the private customer. After the meeting with the private customer, the specialist prepares the necessary visit notes from the appointment, any referrals, and consultation requests, with the time spent being considered in the appointment fee. The occupational health physician often also prepares statements and certificates based on the appointment, which are billed separately at the statement or certificate rate. If medications are provided or procedures are performed during the appointment, these are billed separately according to the current price list.
If the private customer has booked too short a time for their challenging issue or wishes to address multiple matters at once, and the time spent with the customer exceeds the time reserved for them, the appointment is billed according to the time used.
